WHY A BLOG ON "MAKING CENTS OUT OF THE NEWS"?

Every quarter or so, for over thirty years, I've been sharing ideas about the financial markets and financial planning with readers of my "One Man's Opinion" newsletter. It occurred to me that, lately, there's so much happening around the world and here at home - and in such rapid succession - people don't know what to make of it all. We're absolutely bombarded with news - news every day, news from everywhere, news about everything, and I find folks aren't sure how to react. People are wondering: "What does this news mean to me and my family?" "How will this news affect my jobs and my spouse's job?" “How about my financial affairs, what will it do to them.” "Could my business suffer, or could there possibly be a way to profit?"
I decided to get on board with the latest communications trend, blogging. "Blog" is short for "web log". Adding a weekly blog will allow me, less formally and more frequently, to share information (and an occasional opinion) online with friends, clients, and readers who want help making sense (and cents!) out of the news.
